Anne Underwood is a dedicated attorney with a deep connection to her Texas roots. Born and raised in Dallas, Anne brings over two decades of legal experience to our firm, focusing on Real Estate, Wills and Estates, Complex Title Issues, Contract Review, and Corporate Law, particularly Corporate Governance.
Anne’s academic journey began at The University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with honors, earning her BA. She continued her education at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, graduating with high honors. During her time in law school, Anne distinguished herself as a member of the prestigious Texas Law Review and was inducted into the Order of Chancellors.
Since earning her Texas Bar License in November 2000, Anne has been a member of the State Bar of Texas, consistently demonstrating her commitment to the legal profession. She honed her real estate skills as an associate at Baker Botts LLP where she reviewed and drafted leases for large commercial clients and conducted title and survey for developers. She took her skills in-house where she served as associate general counsel broadening her skills to include contract review of license agreements, arena agreements, and sponsorship agreements, to name a few. Most recently she spent three years as a title attorney working with realtors, escrow officers and underwriters to resolve complex residential and commercial title issues to cross the line at the closing table.
Beyond her legal career, she is actively involved in her community. Anne is actively involved in the Visual Arts Guild at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, is a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and giving back to the furry community by fostering cats and volunteering for local animal organizations.
Anne’s personal life is just as full and vibrant as her professional one. She is an active and involved mother of three, and she enjoys spending quality time with her husband of 24 years. Her passions include traveling, yoga, cycling, and she has a deep appreciation for art, live music, and Texas Longhorn football. As a proud advocate and ally to the LGBTQ+ community, Anne embodies the values of inclusivity and support in both her personal and professional life.
