Brent McMullen earned his Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M School of Law along with a certificate in business. While attending Texas A&M, Brent was awarded a Public Interest Law Fellowship. Additionally, he was a Teaching Assistant and American Constitution Society’s President. While attending Texas A&M School of Law, Brent was a law clerk at Cantey Hanger in Ft. Worth. Brent continues to work with Texas A&M School of Law students where he helps law students pass the bar exam. Currently, his practice includes family law, estate planning, business formation and business litigation, and contract negotiation. Mr. McMullen’s primary focus is to help families and businesses in the Arlington and DFW area.
Before attending law school Brent played baseball at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where he graduated with a religion degree. After graduation, he began working with Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison where he found his passion for the practice of law.
Mr. McMullen’s past work experience includes working in Parkland Hospital’s legal department (in developing the new Parkland Hospital), at the Dallas County Public Defender’s office, local family law attorneys, and Williamson County Attorney’s Office.
Mr. McMullen is an active member of the State Bar of Texas and the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association. He has been named a Rising Stars by Texas Super Lawyers Magazine for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 an honor that is limited to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in the State of Texas. Mr. McMullen has also been named a “Top Attorney” in Family Law by Fort Worth Magazine for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Additionally, Mr. McMullen is a Texas native, where he coaches his children in soccer and baseball.
